Memory Bears: A Family Affair

Memory Bears by Rita Glosser of ReMinkie Memory Bears

We love happy customers at ReMinkie Memory Bears!

When a mother passed away, her family called us to create a family of memory bears from the mother’s fur coat.

We created two large bears for the mother’s daughters and four baby bears for their children (the mother’s grandchildren).

The family is pleased to have their mother’s old furs transformed into memory bears. Now they all have a keepsake in honor of their mother.

Memory Bears as Memorial Gifts, Wedding and Baby Gifts

Over the years, we have made memory bears as memorial gifts, wedding gifts, baby gifts, graduation gifts, birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, and more. The ReMinkie Memory Bears directly below were made for a family in memory of their mother. Each of these memory bears has a pocket in the back for her picture.

Memory Bears in Memory of Mother

The ReMinkie Memory Bear (pictured to the left below) was made from a wedding gown in celebration of newborn baby — the couple’s first child. Congratulations on the birth of Emma Rae!

Baby Elia Rose (pictured on the right) is holding a memory bear made from the neckties. The neckties were worn by her father and his groomsmen at her parents’ wedding.

Memory Bears in Memory of Husbands and Fathers

We have made memory bears in memory of husbands, fathers, grandfathers, police officers, fire chiefs, and more. In their loving memory, we have made memory bears out of their uniforms, neckties, shirts, jackets, and more.

Remembering a Husband and Father with ReMinkie Memory Bears

Memory Bears (in memory of husband and father)When everyone in her family wanted a remembrance, Myrna had 6 ReMinkie memory bears made from her husband’s sport jackets and neckties.

Pictured to the right are two of the six bears.

The unusual buttons on his jackets became the belly buttons.

The embroidered neckties became foot pads.

A Memory Bear in Memory of the Murawski Patriarch and Fire Chief

Memory Bears (in memory of fire chief)

A memory bear couldn’t have been more fitting way to remember the patriarch of the Murawski family in Bay City, MI.

Fire Chief Murawski had assembled such a fine necktie collection that it was said he had “more ties than JC Penney.”

When Mrs. Murawski saw our small ad for ReMinkie Memory Bears in Town n Country, she contacted us. She and her friends say the bear is the “perfect keepsake.”

Memory Bears in Honor of School Teacher

Memory Bears (made of neckties)As far as we know, we were the first company in the USA to make memory bears from men’s neckties.

A man’s necktie is often where he expresses his personality, sense of color and design. This translates into a memory bear with great flair.

School Receives Memory Bear in Honor of Teacher

Mr. B retired after 30 years as an elementary school teacher in Ohio. A ReMinkie Memory Bear is now in the school library honoring him and his dedication.

His memory bear was made from the neckties he wore as a teacher. As you can see (pictured below), he enjoyed wearing colorful ties. The Memory Bear is a big hit at the school.

We also make memory bears from furs and custom fabric.
